Before you call
Have these five things ready, if you can:
- How many weeks pregnant you are.
- What is worrying you most right now.
- What has changed and when it started.
- Your baby's movements, including whether they feel normal, reduced, changed or stopped.
- Your name, NHS or hospital number if you have it, and where you are planning to give birth.
If you cannot find your NHS or hospital number, still call. They can usually identify you from your name, date of birth and address.
You do not need to have everything ready before calling. If you are worried, call first. You can find details while you are on the phone.
