Safety and urgent help

Hear Her First does not replace medical care, emergency care, NHS advice, maternity triage, midwives, obstetricians, health visitors, GPs, neonatal teams, mental health professionals or emergency services.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

Pregnancy or labour concerns

Contact your maternity triage unit, maternity unit or midwife. If you cannot contact them and you need urgent advice, call NHS 111. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

For other urgent medical help in the UK, call NHS 111, or contact your GP, midwife or health visitor, depending on urgency.

If you do not feel able to keep yourself or someone else safe, call 999 or go to A&E.

If you can, tell someone nearby:

“I need help and I should not be alone right now.”
