Who is responsible for the next decision?
In a busy maternity setting, it can be hard to know who is making decisions. You are allowed to ask who has reviewed your care, who is responsible now and when you will be updated again.
You could say
“Please can you tell me the plan, who is responsible for it, and when it will be reviewed?”
Questions to ask
- Who is responsible for reviewing this now?
- Who is making the decision about what happens next?
- When will I be reviewed again?
- Who should I ask for if my concern gets worse or I still do not feel reassured?
